TITANIC, RETURN TO CHERBOURG
from £80/person

10 April 1912, 6.35 p.m.. The Titanic entered Cherbourg harbour, the largest artificial harbour in the world. The stop-over lasted for an hour and a half, the time for 281 passengers, including some of the greatest fortunes of the century setting out for America, to embark. At 8.10 p.m., the giant of the seas left Cherbourg, the liner's last continental stop-over.
